FitTeens

Why FitTeens?

FitTeens inspires inactive kids to try harder than they thought they could try, to do more than they thought they could do, and be more than they thought they could be. After FitTeens, one student made the JV basketball team; another student ran track for the first time. Neither student had ever played a school sport. The FitTeens regimen gets results. Our average fitness improvement is 43% per student, and 99% of our all participants to date have experienced an increase their total fitness ability. Our participants join to lose weight and look better in the mirror, but they stick it out because of how they feel. Raquel, our first winner, could not do even one sit-up when she started. She increased her total fitness by 341%! “I feel different,” she said, “and I like it.” Shontel, another winner, explains why she stuck it out: “I wanted to push myself. I wanted to see myself improve. I wanted to see myself do something I didn’t think I could do, like running a mile.” Chris, who attended every class, said, “I had to prove to myself I wasn’t going to quit.”

At FitTeens, kids who need it most learn to be fit and learn what they’re capable of, and they do it together.
