Tell us your story.  What circumstances, experiences, and decisions led to your interest to working with The FitWit Foundation? After graduating from Tennessee State University, I had a firm belief that I wanted a career that allowed me to empower and inspire youth of all ages. After working in the non-profit arena for two years under Sexual Risk Avoidance campaigns, I desperately wanted to change the way I empowered youth. As my job search began, I randomly stumbled upon the FitWit Foundation. Who knew I could find a position that empowered youth through fitness? I was blown away. Being a 3 sport athlete, this organization reconnected me back to a major component of my success as a young professional — fitness!

After just 1 month in this role, what are you most excited about to do/see happen in your position as Program & Community Outreach Coordinator? I am definitely most excited about seeing the personal growth of the student participating in the program.

Any particular goals for yourself and/or the organization as you serve in this role of Program & Community Outreach Coordinator? Most of my goals are geared around volunteer protocol. I would like to improve the recruitment and retention through consistent communication via email and Facebook group post, as well social outings amongst them so they may network, share best practices, and have fun!

Favorite Food? Lemon Pepper Wings!

Personal Goals? I want to inspire millions through my work, philanthropy, and spirit!

Favorite things to do for fun? I love to play basketball, travel, and strategically plan start-up businesses and random ideas (I know, weird)

What would be the theme song to your life? “J. Cole – Love Yourz”
