FitWit Club

We’ve designed an energizing school club, called FitWit Club, that
invites students on a year long journey to strengthen their minds, bodies, and communities. We believe that all youth deserve the opportunity to reach their highest potential. While decreasing obesity and improving fitness are important to us, our primary aim lies in using fitness as the vehicle to empower children to believe in themselves and strive for success every day.

Leadership isn’t taught in the classroom, but at FitWit Club, students get a chance to make personal goals, learn from mentors, collaborate with peers, and achieve what they never thought was possible. These kinds of personal development skills continue into students’ adult lives; giving students the confidence to take risks, step out of their comfort zones, and seek new experiences. These skills are the ones our youth need the most

A Day at FitWit Club

FitWit Club Locations

Currently, FitWit Clubs are taking place at Maynard Jackson High School, Renfroe Middle School, Atlanta Neighborhood Charter Middle School, Clarkston High School, and Urban Perform Gym.

Our energy is currently focused on offering FitWit Club at schools labeled by Georgia Department of Education as priority schools, due to low graduation rates and test scores. However, under certain conditions, we will offer FitWit Club to schools who do not fall under these categories.

Want to offer FitWit Club at your school?  Contact megan@fitwit.com for more information.

The FitWit Foundation sponsors all FitWit Clubs, providing school club advisors (typically a school staff member) with curriculum, annual training, stipends (when available), and continual support for the program and participants.  The advisor curriculum includes detailed club meeting plans, student journals, guest fitness instructors, planning guides, and all the necessary tools to execute a successful FitWit Club.
